"Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:" {Rom 3:22} + "Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;" {Rom 3:25} + "For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith." {Rom 4:13} + "But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness." {Rom 9:31} + "And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:" {Php 3:9} + "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith." {Hbr 11:7}

The Apostle here takes the general sentiment, and expresses it in his own language; beautifully accommodating what Moses says of the law to his present purpose. "For this commandment which I command thee this day, it [is] not hidden from thee, neither [is] it far off. ... But the word [is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it." {Deu 30:11-14} + "Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what [is] his name, and what [is] his son's name, if thou canst tell?" {Prv 30:4}
to bring:
"If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things? ... And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven." {Jhn 3:12-13} + "For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world." {Jhn 6:33} + "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me." {Jhn 6:38} + "This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. ... I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." {Jhn 6:50-51} + "This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever." {Jhn 6:58} + "Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. ... He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)" {Eph 4:8-10} + "Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" {Hbr 1:3} - Cross Reference Bible Search
