{Ezekiel 15:2} Son 1121 of man, 120 What x4100 is x1961 the vine 1612 tree 6086 more than any x4480 x3605 tree, 6086 [or than] a branch 2156 which x834 is x1961 among the trees 6086 of the forest? 3293
The vine is only noble and useful while producing fruit: for, when cut down, its wood is fit only for fuel. So Israel, having ceased to be fruitful, they are good for nothing, but, like a withered branch of a vine, to be burnt. "For their vine [is] of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes [are] grapes of gall, their clusters [are] bitter: ... Their wine [is] the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps." {Deu 32:32-33} + "Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. ... [It is] burned with fire, [it is] cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance." {Psa 80:8-16} + "The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines [with] the tender grape give a [good] smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away." {Sgs 2:13} + "Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines [have] tender grapes." {Sgs 2:15} + "I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, [and] to see whether the vine flourished, [and] the pomegranates budded." {Sgs 6:11} + "Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, [whether] the tender grape appear, [and] the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves." {Sgs 7:12} + "Solomon had a vineyard at Baalhamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand [pieces] of silver. ... My vineyard, which [is] mine, [is] before me: thou, O Solomon, [must have] a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred." {Sgs 8:11-12} + "Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: ... For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts [is] the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry." {Isa 5:1-7} + "Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?" {Jer 2:21} + "Israel [is] an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images." {Hsa 10:1} + "Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: ... They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out [his] vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons." {Mtt 21:33-41} + "And he began to speak unto them by parables. A [certain] man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about [it], and digged [a place for] the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. ... What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others." {Mrk 12:1-9} + "Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time. ... He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard [it], they said, God forbid." {Lke 20:9-16} + "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. ... If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned." {Jhn 15:1-6}
"Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done [it]: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel." {Isa 44:23} + "Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed [as] a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest." {Mic 3:12} + "Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down." {Zch 11:2} - Cross Reference Bible Search
