{Nehemiah 6:12} And, lo, x2009 I perceived 5234 z8686 that God 430 had not x3808 sent 7971 z8804 him; but x3588 that he pronounced 1696 z8765 this prophecy 5016 against x5921 me: for Tobiah 2900 and Sanballat 5571 had hired 7936 z8804 him.
I perceived:
"Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:" {Ezk 13:22} + "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." {1Co 2:15} + " To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:" {1Co 12:10}
God had:
"Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart." {Jer 14:14} + "Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, [and] not out of the mouth of the LORD." {Jer 23:16} + "I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed." {Jer 23:25} + "Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie." {Jer 28:15} + "Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith [it]; albeit I have not spoken?" {Ezk 13:7} + "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." {1Jn 4:1}
hired him:
"Yea, [they are] greedy dogs [which] can never have enough, and they [are] shepherds [that] cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter." {Isa 56:11} + "And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear [your] lies?" {Ezk 13:19} + "The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, [Is] not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us." {Mic 3:11} + "I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel." {Act 20:33} + "Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;" {1Tm 3:3} + "For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;" {Tts 1:7} + "Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight [thereof], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;" {1Pe 5:2} + "And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." {2Pe 2:3} + "And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men." {Rev 18:13} - Cross Reference Bible Search
