{2 Chronicles 21:7} Howbeit the LORD 3068 would 14 z8804 not x3808 destroy 7843 z8687 x853 the house 1004 of David, 1732 because of x4616 the covenant 1285 that x834 he had made 3772 z8804 with David, 1732 and as x834 he promised 559 z8804 to give 5414 z8800 a light 5216 to him and to his sons 1121 for ever. 3117 x3605
Howbeit:
"But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not." {2Ch 22:11} + "Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, [even] the son of Tabeal: ... Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass." {Isa 7:6-7}
because:
"Although my house [be] not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all [things], and sure: for [this is] all my salvation, and all [my] desire, although he make [it] not to grow." {2Sm 23:5} + "My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. ... Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, [so] that I will not take [any] of his seed [to be] rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them." {Jer 33:20-26}
as he promised:
"And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. ... According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David." {2Sm 7:12-17} + "Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; [but] will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen." {1Kg 11:13} + "And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there." {1Kg 11:36} + "Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, [and] to his children." {2Kg 8:19} + "The LORD hath sworn [in] truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne." {Psa 132:11} + "There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed. ... Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem.
