{Judges 13:18} And the angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 unto him, Why x4100 askest 7592 z8799 thou thus x2088 after my name, 8034 seeing it x1931 [is] secret? 6383 z8675

Why askest:
"Then the womanª cameª º and toldª º her husband,ª saying,ª º A manª of Godª cameª º unto¹ me, and his countenanceª [was] like the countenanceª of an angelª of God,ª veryª terrible:ª º but I askedª º him not¹ whence¹ ¹ ¹ he¹ [was], neither¹ toldª º he me his name:ª" {Jdg 13:6} + "And Jacobª askedª º [him], and said,ª º Tellª º [me], I pray thee,¹ thy name.ª And he said,ª º Wherefore¹ [is] itª [that] thou dost askª º after my name?ª And he blessedª º him there.¹" {Gen 32:29}

secret:
or, wonderful, It was because his name was secret that Manoah wished to know it. But the angel does not say it was secret, but hoo pailee, "it is wonderful;" the very character given to the Messiah: "His name shall be called pailai, Wonderful," "For¹ unto us a childª is born,ª º unto us a sonª is given:ª º and the governmentª shall be upon¹ his shoulder:ª and his nameª shall be¹ calledª º Wonderful,ª Counsellor,ª º The mightyª God,ª The everlastingª Father,ª The Princeª of Peace.ª" {Isa 9:6}.
